Inspired by the 17th-century taste for popular influences and the court ballet vogue, Geoffroy Jourdain and his Cris de Paris, joined by Camille Boitel, dance and set Monteverdi's music in motion. Their imaginary ballet joyfully crosses secular and sacred music, traversing the Italian composer's output from madrigals to opera, from the Selva morale to the Scherzi musicali.
