All Saints' Festival: Fauré's Requiem with Kammerkoret Bocca

All Saints' Day is a fine occasion to light candles and remember those who have passed away. The main work of this concert is the Requiem – a mass for the dead – by the French composer Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924). Where other composers wrote dramatic music in their requiems to depict the Day of Judgement, Fauré chose to focus on consolation and eternal rest.
