Orchestral Reimaginations
Old traditions get a fresh twist in this program. Mendelssohn honors his idol J.S. Bach in his sweeping "Reformation" Symphony, while Prokofiev pays a witty, 20th-century homage to Mozart and Haydn in his joyful "Classical" Symphony.
