Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique
About this performance
The magical kaleidoscopic Kauyumari, imbued with the flavors of Ortiz’s native Mexico, is followed by John Williams’s brilliant trumpet concerto, featuring L.A. Philharmonic Principal Trumpet Thomas Hooten. Berlioz’s wildly imaginative Symphonie Fantastique brings the evening to a stirring close.
