La Griselda

Created in 1735 at Venice's most prestigious theatre, La Griselda is Vivaldi's greatest operatic success. With this mature work, on a libretto revised by the young and already very skilful Goldoni, Vivaldi triumphed with the mezzo-soprano Anna Giro, his most celebrated interpreter of the time, and definitively won over the Venetian elite.
