French National Orchestra

A major evening for the National Orchestra with this monumental programme of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and excerpts from the Missa solemnis, conducted by the orchestra's new music director, Philippe Jordan. From the mystery surrounding its origins to its unusual finale, Beethoven's Ninth is probably the most emblematic work in the symphonic catalogue.
