Berliner Philharmoniker, Markus Poschner, Christian Gerhaher

Nature as a mirror of the soul: star baritone Christian Gerhaher performs two sonorous, melancholic vocal scenes that reflect this concept. He appears first in “Der Einsame im Herbst” from Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde, and then in a wonderful discovery by Alphons Diepenbrock – a composer held in high esteem by Mahler.
