Meta4

The META4 string quartet, founded in Helsinki in 2001, won the Shostakovich String Quartet Competition in Moscow and the Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna. Between a classical Haydn quartet from 1781 and Ravel’s sole contribution to the genre from 1903, the four Finns have included the third quartet by Grażyna Bacewicz (1909–1969).
