What do you miss when you don’t know what you are missing? Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s last opera is an intimate, musical palette of colours about knowledge, truth and the healing power of love. Iolanta is blind, but does not know it herself. Her father, King René, shields her from anyone who might tell her about her condition.
