Terms of service
In short
- Overture is free. It collects concert, opera and ballet listings from venues and shows them in one place.
- We don't sell tickets. Times, casts and prices come from the venues; always check them on the venue's site before you buy.
- AI answers are suggestions and can be wrong.
- Use Overture for yourself, not to copy or scrape its data, and be kind to other listeners.

These terms apply when you use Overture: the website getoverture.app, the Home Screen app and the iPhone app. By using Overture you agree to them. Please also read the privacy policy, which explains what we do with your data.
1. What Overture is
Overture helps you find classical concerts, opera and ballet in cities around the world: on the map, in each city's agenda, in Curated, Match my mood and the AI adviser, and on artist, orchestra and venue pages. Overture is free to use and has no paid plans.
2. Listings, prices and tickets
Overture collects programmes from the websites of venues, orchestras, companies and festivals, mostly automatically. We do our best to keep them correct and up to date, but programmes, times, casts, prices and availability can change or be missed, and our copy can be out of date or incomplete.
- Overture doesn't sell tickets. “Tickets” links take you to the venue or its ticket seller. Your purchase is an agreement between you and them, under their terms.
- Youth and last-minute prices are based on the schemes that venues publish. Whether you qualify, and the price you pay, is decided by the venue.
- Always check the date, time, programme and price on the venue's own website before you buy or travel.
Are you a venue or artist and is something wrong or missing? Email hello@getoverture.app and we will fix it.
3. AI advice
The adviser, Match my mood and the listening guides are written with the help of AI models. They are meant to help you choose an evening and know what you will hear. They can be incomplete or wrong. They are not professional advice, and they don't replace the venue's information about access, safety or practical details.
4. Your account
You don't need an account to use Overture. If you create one, you must be 16 or older, and you sign in with a code sent to your phone number or email address. Keep access to that phone or email to yourself; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Choose a username that isn't offensive and doesn't pretend to be someone else. You can delete your account at any time under You → Settings.
5. Friends and following
Where the social features are on, you can follow other listeners, share which evenings you are going to and keep stubs of evenings you attended. Be respectful: no harassment, spam or sharing other people's personal details. You can block anyone. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.
6. Fair use
Use Overture for your own, personal use. You may not:
- copy, scrape or harvest Overture's listings or data automatically, or use them to build a competing service
- overload, attack or get around the security of the app or its servers
- misuse the AI adviser, for example to produce content that is unlawful or unrelated to finding concerts
- use Overture in a way that breaks the law or other people's rights
7. Content and rights
Overture's design, code, texts and the way listings are put together belong to Overture. Programme information, photos and music samples belong to the venues, artists, photographers and other rights holders; photo credits are shown where we have them, and music samples are provided by Apple Music. Do you own a photo or text on Overture and want it changed or removed? Email us and we will act quickly.
If you add content yourself, such as your profile or stubs, it stays yours. You allow us to store and show it in Overture as needed to run the app, in line with your privacy choices.
8. Availability and changes
We are always improving Overture, so features can change, be tried out with some listeners first, or be removed. We try to keep the app available, but can't promise it will always work without interruptions. If we change these terms in an important way, we will tell you in the app before the changes apply.
9. Liability
Overture is provided free and “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for damage caused by wrong or outdated listings, prices or AI answers, by purchases from venues or ticket sellers, or by the app being unavailable. This doesn't limit any rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by law, or liability for intent or gross negligence.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Overture and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where possible, we tell you why first.
11. Law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you have a complaint, please email us first; we will try to solve it together. If that doesn't work, disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of your own country's consumer law and can also go to court there.
